Spring Concert

Tuesday, May 14th

The Spring Concert is Tuesday, May 14th at 7:00 PM at the Jenks High School Performing Arts Center. A map of the High School central campus is located here.  The PAC is #15 on the map.

3rd Hour:  The high school band room will be open by 6:00 PM.  The band room is located in the music building (#30 on the above map).  Students should leave instrument cases in their car.  We will begin warming up at 6:10 PM.   DO NOT BE LATE.  At 6:25 PM, you will transition to the Performing Arts Center with one of the directors and wait for the concert to begin.

4th Hour:  You need to arrive to the high school band room no later than 6:25.  Students should leave instrument cases in their car.  If you arrive early, please be respectful and quiet as Miss Arnold will be completing the warm up with 3rd hour.  We will begin your warm up at 6:30.  We will also run through the "Dave Brubek" piece with Mr. Gartner.

Students will wear nice dress clothing for the concert.  You are not required to wear your contest attire.  The general rule is: no t-shirts, no jeans, no shorts, and no sneakers.  This is a formal event.

  • Girls:  If you choose to wear a skirt or a dress, then the hemline should fall below the knees to protect modesty.
  • Boys:  You should wear long dress socks with your slacks and dress shoes (not ankle socks.)

Students, if you have an at-home instrument, you may return it to our box truck after the concert.  This may be the best logistical way to get it from you at the end of the year.  All instruments will be cleaned over the summer.  If you are needing your instrument early (due to summer band, band camp, etc.), we will tag it for you to be fixed first.

Thanks everyone!  It should be a great evening!
