We are proud to annouce that the Trojan Pride will be returning to the Super-Regional Contest held in St. Louis. The Trojan Pride has been a consistent finalist at BOA Regional and Super-Regional events for the past decade. Below is general information. Detailed information will be added as the contest approaches. It will be possible to purchase tickets for this contest in advance. A general itinerary for this trip is posted below. The performance time in preliminary competition for the Trojan Pride is slotted for Saturday afternoon between 1:30 and 3:45.

General Trip Itinerary

Thursday - Early Luggage Check In. Morning rehearsal. Load and depart around lunch time. Dinner. Hotel Check In - Four Points by Sheraton in Fairview Heights, Ill.
Friday  - Morning rehearsal. Lunch. Watch bands part of the day. Dinner.
Saturday - breakfast, light music and body practice, lunch. Prelim performance. Awards ceremony. Finals. Hotel.
Sunday - breakfast, depart for Jenks, arrival mid-afternoon.

Complete and detailed itinerary will be provided in early October.

Mandatory Band Parent Meeting

The mandatory band parent meeting for the St. Louis Trip is scheduled for Thursday, October 4th, 7:00 PM in the High School Math & Science Center, 3rd Floor Presentation Hall. Parents will be required to sign in upon arrival.

Opt In/Opt Out Forms

The cost of the trips to St. Louis is estimated to be $1,100. There will be four draws (payments) beginning in June and continuing through September in preparation for the fall trips. Specific dates for draws, payments due, and amounts are listed on the Opt In/Opt Out Form. All information, payment deadlines, and criteria were included on the form. Opt In/Opt Out Form

Payment Schedule

Each payment listed in the Opt In contract is required to be in full and on time in order for students to participate in summer rehearsals, pre-band, and school rehearsals. Students and parents should be thoroughly familiar with the Trip Fund and High School Band Handbook Policies.

Remember, your child will not be allowed to travel on BOA trips if full payment is not received by September 28, 2018.

Chaperone Information

Parents wishing to serve as chaperones for overnight trips will be required to go through the application process with the Jenks Band Parents Organization. The deadline to apply to be a chaperone for the BOA Super-Regional Contest in St. Louis is Friday, September 7th. 

To be a chaperone, the Jenks Public School Volunteer training, Lobby Guard screening and signature confirmation of reading the Chaperone Handbook is required in order to support the band program as a chaperone.
