Marcus Shields

Marcus Shields is a Tulsa native and began teaching at Jenks Public Schools in 2017. His current responsibilities include conducting the concert band, teaching beginner trumpet and trombones, and assisting with the Trojan Pride Marching Band.

 

After graduating Union High School, Mr. Shields pursued a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Central Oklahoma. While at UCO, Mr. Shields performed in various ensembles with world renowned musicians such as Delfeayo Marsalis, John and Jay Daversa and Terell Stafford. Mr. Shields was also recognized as UCO’s most outstanding senior musician before graduating in 2016.

 

Mr. Shields is a member of the Oklahoma Music Educators Association and maintains an active brass studio for music students throughout the Jenks school system.
