Label assignments for brass, woodwinds, and battery have been assigned by the staff based upon playing/memory tests, marching ability (including lower body technique, upper body technique, posture, instrument carriage), coordination of playing and marching skills, attendance for pre-band rehearsals, and academic consistency. Labels are indicated by a capitol letter and number for each section. For example, flutes are labeled F1 through F14.
DOT books include drill charts and coordinate sheets. DOT books will be passed out at Monday's rehearsal. Students should be ready to circle or highlight their spot at Monday's rehearsal in order to make it easier to find their DOT on the drill chart. Monday's rehearsal will begin inside. We will review/learn how to read drill charts and coordinate sheets before heading outside.
