Music Camp is an awesome opportunity for your child to grow as a musician, develop responsibility away from parents, and have a lot of fun this summer! We, as a Jenks Band Staff, HIGHLY RECOMMEND your child attend a summer music camp. The benefits for your child both musically and socially are worth the effort and financial obligation. Below you can find links to the camps that we know about and recommend. We will add more camps as we receive information. Feel free to email with any questions you have.
University of Arkansas Summer Music Camp
- July 6-11, 2025 Jr. High Band Camp.
- Most Jenks students will attend this camp
- June 9-20, 2025
- This is a Monday through Friday day camp, 8:30 AM- noon
- It is for incoming freshmen through seniors.
Southwestern Oklahoma State University Band Camp
- July 13-18, 2025 Band Camp (Both Middle School and High School students may attend this camp)
University of Kansas Midwestern Music Camp
- June 8-12, 2025 Middle School Camp (open to current 7th and 8th grade)
- June 15-19, 2025 High School Camp (open to current 8th grade)
- Current 8th graders have the option to attend either camp. Feel free to email Julie Cryer, and she will give a recommendation regarding which camp your child should attend.
Oklahoma State University Summer Music Institute
- June 1-5, 2025
- Open to graduating 8th graders. This is considered a high school camp.
- June 18-21, 2025
- Day Camp: 8:30-5:00 PM
- Open to Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, and Saxophone students only.
16th Annual Barnett Music Exchange Low Brass Camp (4/9/2025: The flier on this site is old-- However, it will be updated on this link.)
- May 27-30, 2025. Location TBD
- for incoming 7th-12th grades
- Trombone, euphonium, tuba players only

- June 10-14, 2024 at Verdigris High School Band Complex (26501 S 4110 Rd, Verdigris)
- Day Camp from 8 AM-5 PM.
- for all ages
- Any instrument welcome, although jazz band instruments are typically saxophone, trumpet, trombone, drum set, piano
