The Veterans Day Assembly will take place Monday, November 11th at 10 AM in the Middle School gymnasium. Students will be released after their first hour teacher takes roll that morning. Only students wearing the proper attire will be allowed to participate, and non-participation will be considered unexcused. (In other words--- DON'T FORGET TO WEAR PROPER ATTIRE.) All students should wear the 8th grade band t-shirt, jeans, and tennis shoes. We will be playing "Star-Spangled Banner" and "The Thunderer". Parents are allowed to attend this event.
Mrs. Cryer will need assistance Friday, November 8th after school at 4:00 PM to help set up chairs and stands in the gymnasium. Students in NJHS will receive service hours to help with set-up. Click HERE to sign up to help. I anticipate that 5:00 is the very latest we will be finished (likely earlier.) Parents, I have had some students ask if they could walk to Braum's after they volunteer. This is fine with me, however I won't be able to go to Braum's that day. If you are alright with allowing your child to be picked up at Braum's, will you please send me either an email or a handwritten note? My email is julie.cryer@jenksps.org.
Students must be academically eligible (60% or higher in all classes) to participate in the Veterans Day Assembly. That eligiblity will come out on Friday, November 8th.
