General Information

The Trojan Pride is pleased to announce the Annual Contest Preview Concert on Tuesday, April 7th. This concert showcases the high school bands about to attend contest and gives each group the opportunity to perform the music that the bands will be presenting at the State Concert Band Contests

The concert begins at 7:00pm in the Jenks Performing Arts Center Concerts and is open to the public. Doors open at 6:30pm. Except for handicap areas, all seating (including the balcony) is general admission. No ticket is required and there is no reserve seating. Performing band members are required to be in attendance for all concerts. As usual, parents are welcome to record the performances/their child performing. Due to copyright and music licensing restrictions, the event will not be livestreamed or reproduced in any manner by Jenks Band or Jenks Public Schools. 

Performance Attire is concert black for gentlemen and concert black/black dresses for ladies. Students must have all parts of attire in order to perform and receive participation points.

6:45 Transit to Auditorium (SW Corner of PAC)
7:00 Concert Begins; watching from seating area in auditorium

Students are to use proper behavior and etiquette during concert both as an audience member and performer.

After Symphonic Band performance, Wind Symphony percussion may transition back stage to begin setting up for performance. Chairs and stand will be reset and WS students brought on stage for a quick re-warm up and tuning before their performance. Symphonic Band personnel will transition to the NW corner of the PAC.

ALL percussion students are required to help return percussion equipment to respective rehearsal rooms. (Symphonic Band will rehearse on stage on Wednesday and Thursday this week.) A few students will be needed to reset the stage and ensemble rooms for the week's rehearsals.
