There are many tasks a chaperone may do in order to support the band program and the Chaperone Handbook is an important guide that outlines the requirements and expectations to support the students, band directors and staff, as well as each other during events and performance competitions throughout the year.
To be a chaperone, the Jenks Public School Volunteer training, completing the School Safe Process (formerly Lobby Guard screening) and signature confirmation of reading the Chaperone Handbook is required in order to support the band program as a chaperone.
Parents wishing to serve as chaperones for overnight trips will be required to go through the application process with the Jenks Band Parents Organization. Parents are required to serve at football games and contests prior to any major trip.
