Brandt Jensen began teaching at Jenks Public Schools in 2018. Before coming to Jenks, Mr. Jensen taught in Bartlesville (OK) Public Schools for five years. His responsibilities at Jenks include teaching beginning brass classes, assisting with the Trojan Pride Marching Band, and assisting with the high school concert bands.
A graduate of Owasso High School, Mr. Jensen attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. After his freshman year of college, Mr. Jensen served a two-year LDS Church Mission in Arizona. Upon completion of his mission, Mr. Jensen returned to BYU to pursue his degree in Music Education. At BYU, he performed with the Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, BYU Marching Band, BYU Basketball Pep Band, and the Young Ambassadors Show Band. He earned his BM in Music Education from Brigham Young University in 2012.
Mr. Jensen maintains an active private lessons studio with students achieving placement in regional and state honor bands as well as superior ratings in Solo and Ensemble Contest. He is a member of the National Association for Music Education, Oklahoma Music Educators Association, and Oklahoma Bandmasters Association.
Mr. Jensen’s greatest joy is his family. He loves spending time with his wife, Liz, and their children, Jayce and Ally.
