General Information

The Intermediate Band Concert is on Tuesday, May 11th. The two separate concerts will showcase the West Intermediate band at 6:30 and the East Intermediate band at 7:30. The approval by Jenks Public Schools to perform is based off conditions submitted in November and are outlined below. Please read through all the information and be thoroughly aware of all prescribed regulations.

As with any indoor event now, masks and social distancing will be expected and required throughout the concert. Only band students will be allowed on the stage or backstage throughout the evening. Note: Family members may be in the PAC or the building 5 hallway, but not in the music building.

Seating in the PAC is limited to 545 seats. Tickets will be used for admission to the concert. Tickets for each concert are unique and can only be used for the concert intended. There is no admission charge - just a limited number of seats. There are no reserve seats - all seats (including the main floor, rotundas, and balcony) are general admission. Certain rows and blocks of seats will be taped off in order to maintain social distancing. Different clusters of seats will be available as well. There are 33 sets of 2-seat clusters, 42 sets of 3-seat clusters, 72 sets of 4-seat clusters, and 13 sets of 5-seat clusters. Clusters are separated throughout the auditorium with two empty seats between groups. Diagrams of seating arrangements will be posted in the PAC lobby and can be found HERE as well. (The legend indicates ticket prices, but that is not in effect for this concert. Admission is free). Entrance into the PAC will be through the center doors and Exit after the concert will be through the side doors. Please allow enough time to properly locate the seating area(s) that accurately accommodates the size of your group. There will also be students working for the Jenks Performing Arts Center available to assist with seating as people arrive.

Tickets will be made available to family members first, and then to the general public. There are about 80 total students in the East Intermediate band making up to 6 tickets available per family. Four tickets will be given to each student in each band on Tuesday, May 4th. There are about 105 students in the West Intermediate band making up to 5 tickets available per family. Three tickets will be given to each student in each band on Tuesday, May 4th. Do not lose these tickets. Tickets are required for admission to the concert. Additional tickets up to the limit may be requested by families via email to your student’s director. The deadline for this is Thursday, May 6th. Beginning Friday, all remaining tickets will be available to request/reserve by everyone. Again, simply email your student’s director to do this. Any remaining tickets not reserved/requested by the concert will be available at the door and will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.

Again, do not lose your tickets. To help maintain proper crowd capacity, only people with tickets will be allowed to attend the concert.

As usual, parents are welcome to record the performances/their child performing, but due to copyright and music licensing restrictions the event will not be livestreamed or reproduced in any manner by the Jenks Band or Jenks Public Schools.

Parking is available in the music building and North parking lots. Parents may drop off students by the PAC. After each concert, parents can meet to pick up their child in the building 5 hallway – where it adjoins to the music building, in the PAC lobby, or in the parking lot. If you are not familiar with the campus, Click HERE to see the different areas in building 5 where you can pick up your child.
