- Brass and Woodwinds only: Habits for a Successful Middle School Band
- Percussion only: The Packet by Frank Chapple
The following items are required for class daily:

- Pencil pouch
- 1-inch binder with page protectors
- Sheet Music
Other fees that may be paid this year:
- JMS Band T-Shirt
- Instrument Maintenance Fee (for students with school-owned instruments.)
