On February 8th, our eighth grade and high school band students will be playing their solos and ensembles outside of Whole Foods at 9136 S Yale Ave.  We are hoping to raise funds for our meal sponsorship of Night Light Tulsa.  It takes $1,100 to sponsor that meal, and so we are hoping that our tips will help the cause.  If you are wanting to donate, please make checks payable to "City Lights Foundation" (NOT Jenks Band).  To find out more about this Night Light event, please click here.  You do not have to participate in the Night Light event to help us fundraise on February 8th.

Students who have participated in Solo and Ensemble should sign up.  Sign up HERE.   I will use this information to create a schedule for the day.  Each performance group will be assigned a 30 minute block to play your solos or ensembles.  There will be around three or four performance groups in each block, and they will rotate through the 30 minutes.

Please arrive at Whole Foods about 10 minutes prior performance time.  Leave cases in the car. Students are assigned to a block of time.  They will rotate through their solos and ensembles throughout that block.  If timing works correctly, most students will play their piece about 4-5 times.  Students will need to arrive to the grocery store already warmed up on their instrument.

I will post a schedule of the day here sometime during the week of February 8th.
