On Thursday, March 5th, our middle school and high school band students will be playing their solos and ensembles outside of Walmart Neighborhood Market in Jenks (11020 S Elm St, Jenks, OK 74037). We are hoping to raise funds for our meal sponsorship of Night Light Tulsa. It takes $1,000 to sponsor that meal, and so we are hoping that our tips will help the cause. If you are wanting to donate, please make checks payable to "City Lights Foundation" (NOT Jenks Band). To find out more about this Night Light event, please click here. You do not have to participate in the Night Light event to help us fundraise on February 8th.
Please sign up to perform HERE. On the form, please indicate ALL times you are available, and Mrs. Cryer will send out a schedule this weekend.
Please wear your Jenks Band t-shirt or Jenks spirit wear when you perform.
Mrs. Cryer will be driving an 13 passenger school van to the grocery store at 4 PM, and she can transport the students who are performing between 5-6 PM. (Up to 13 passengers.) Those parents can pick up their children at WM Neighborhood Market after their performance time. All other times will need parent drop-off/pick-up.
Please arrive at Walmart Neighborhood Market about 10 minutes prior performance time. Leave cases in the car. Students are assigned to a block of time. They will rotate through their solos and ensembles throughout that block. If timing works correctly, most students will play their pieces 2-3 times. Students will need to arrive to the grocery store already warmed up on their instrument.
