This year, we will be using the following method books:
- All Students: Traditions of Excellence Book 2 (and Book 1 from last year)
- Brass and Woodwinds only: Habits for a Successful Middle School Band ***
- Percussion only: The Packet
The band directors will be placing an order for these books on Friday, August 30th. You may purchase the book through InTouch (PowerSchool system). We will begin with these books on Monday, September 9th. Click here for the instructions to pay through InTouch. Please only read the top half of these instructions intended for parents.
*** Please note: InTouch only has one "Habits" book listed. We will purchase the correct book your child needs for his/her class.***
Other fees that may be paid this semester:
- Band T-Shirt (This will not be passed out until second semester. We will take shirt sizes at that time. This shirt will also be used in 8th grade. It's important to note that we are changing the design of the shirt from previous years, so if you have an older child who came through the middle school, you'll still need to purchase a new shirt.)
- Instrument Maintenance Fee (for students with school-owned instruments. Percussion is excluded from this fee.)
- NCDA audition fee (an optional audition for students. This payment is not due until September 16th).
