NCDA Honor Band Auditions take place on Saturday, November 9th. This is an optional audition for our students.
The NCDA (North Central Directors Association) 7th Grade Honor Band is a band comprised of the best 7th grade musicians in the north-central Oklahoma region. Bands from Jenks, Owasso, Stillwater, Sapula, etc. will all participate. Students will receive audition music from the band staff (if requested). They will need to practice this music with a private lessons teacher. In addition, the band staff will be helping students prepare for the audition. Woodwind and percussion students will be pulled from class to work on the music. Brass students will meet with Mr. Silverman after school to get help.
Here is Mr. Silverman's after school help schedule. Your child may attend only if they can be picked up on time from the front oval of the Middle School.
- Monday 4:00-4:45 Trumpet
- Tuesday 4:00-4:45 French Horn
- Wednesday 4:00-4:45 Trombone and Euphonium
- Thursday 4:00-4:45 Tuba
Click HERE to officially sign up for NCDA audition. Please fill out this form and pay the $10 fee no later than Monday, September 16th. You may pay this fee through InTouch. A small number of students may be auditioning on multiple instruments. Each additional audition costs $5.
It is strongly suggested that students take private lessons to receive help with NCDA music. Private lessons teachers can be found HERE.
